Couple Elope in Puerto Rico Drenched in Beauty

There is something magical about elopements – they're intimate, spontaneous, and truly personal. That's exactly what Ieshia and Chris wanted for their special day, and Puerto Rico was the perfect place to make it happen.
They chose the northwestern part of the island for its stunning beaches, rugged landscapes, and laid-back vibe, and their elopement day was nothing short of magical. The day started at their incredible Airbnb, which offered a panoramic view of the ocean and the lush vegetation surrounding it.
The couple got ready together at sunrise, and their excitement and love for each other were palpable. We headed to their ceremony location at Playa Puerto Hermana. The beach was stunning, with huge waves crashing against the shore and surfers catching them in the background.
The couple chose a simple and elegant ceremony.
After the ceremony, the couple went for a horseback ride on Survival Beach, a secluded and pristine spot that offered breathtaking views of the coastline. They were surrounded by nature, with only the sound of the waves and the hooves of the horses breaking the silence. It was a moment of pure bliss and serenity that they will never forget.
For lunch, they headed to The Eclipse Restaurant, a charming eatery perched on a hill overlooking the ocean. The food was delicious, with a mix of local and international flavors, and the view was breathtaking. The couple enjoyed their meal, savoring every moment and talking about their plans for the future.
After lunch they took in the sights of Playa Jobos, which was an unbelievable sight. We walked along the boardwalk until reaching the “blowhole” area. With the giant waves in the area, the blow hole was really going off and providing a crazy and intense show for the eloping couple.
Back at their Airbnb, they spent the afternoon swimming in the pool and enjoying the ocean view. The sky was painted with shades of pink, orange, and purple, creating a stunning backdrop for dinner.
They ordered in pizza for dinner and dined al fresco, under a starry sky and surrounded by candles and fairy lights. It was the perfect ending to a perfect day, and the couple was grateful for the memories they had created together.
Ieshia and Chris's elopement day in Puerto Rico was a true escape from the ordinary, a celebration of love and adventure in a stunning and romantic setting. It was a reminder that love knows no boundaries, and that the most important thing in life is to share it with the person who makes your heart sing.
“As cliche as it sounds, our experience with Swell & Stone (Kat) was a complete dream come true! Kat was encouraging and enthusiastic throughout the entire planning stages and was easily reachable by email. When I felt I wanted to talk through plans she would promptly set up a phone call to ease my nerves. We eloped on 12/12/22 in Puerto Rico and although we could have found a local photographer, I am so glad we went with Kat. Our elopement day felt easy and relaxing although we had several different stops throughout our day. Our plans changed last minute and we decided to do a 2 hour horse back ride, and Kat took pictures the entire time while also riding a horse! Both my husband and I found Kat very personable and she made us both feel comfortable especially since this was our first professional photoshoot. Our pictures feel timeless, and immediately bring us back to our amazing elopement. Kat has so much experience with adventure shots, so I would encourage anyone thinking of doing an adventure elopement to think outside of the box - she will make it work!”
